What you will learn
Our comprehensive two-day course, totalling around 10 hours of dedicated instruction, will guide you through every essential step of bird taxidermy. You'll finish with a beautifully preserved bird and the skills to continue your journey.
Day one: preparation
The first day focuses on the meticulous process of skinning and thoroughly cleaning the bird skin. You will also learn how to expertly craft a durable woodwool body, forming the foundation for your taxidermy piece.
Day two: assembly
On the second day, you will learn the crucial techniques for attaching the crafted body and precisely wiring the bird. We will then guide you through the process of setting it up aesthetically on a base.
Your finished bird
By the end of the course, you will have completed your own taxidermy bird. You will leave with a tangible achievement and a better understanding of the art form.
